Q. What are the advantages of upgrading to CCC ONE?

A. There are many advantages to upgrading to CCC ONE including a new more intuitive user interface, a hosted solution that eliminates the needs for servers and backups as well as many new features that can help users write more accurate estimates in less time.

Q. What are the hardware requirements for CCC ONE?

A. With the exception of a high speed internet connection the hardware requirements for CCC ONE are very similar to those for CCC Pathways. To view a detailed list of minimum and recommended hardware requirements, please visit the CCC ONE upgrade center at www.ccc-one.com/upgrade.

Q. Do I have to be trained to use CCC ONE?

A. CCC ONE is very similar to CCC Pathways. The way estimates are written has not changed; however, the user interface is different in some areas, and there are many new features that users will want to understand. A series of short computer-based tutorials are available to familiarize users with the changes in CCC ONE versus CCC Pathways as well as the new features.

Q. Has CCC ONE been approved by the insurance companies I communicate with?

A. Yes. All insurance companies have approved the use of CCC ONE for estimating. However, if you plan to participate in additional direct repair programs over the next 60 days, please contact us at 877-207-3725 prior to installing.

Q. Now that CCC ONE is hosted, what will CCC do with my data?

A. CCC has a comprehensive data policy in place that describes what we will and will not do with your data. To see the full data policy, visit the CCC ONE upgrade center at www.ccc-one.com/upgrade.

Q. What will happen to my data if I cancel my subscription?

A. CCC will allow users to archive data in a readable format like Adobe® PDF. Users who cancel their subscription will have 30 days to archive all of their files.

Q. How do I archive my data?

A. The archive function will not be available until late 2010, however users will be allowed to archive files manually or CCC will automatically archive files not accessed over 6 months to the user’s local computer.

Q. Is my data secure?

A. To protect the data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, CCC uses commercially reasonable safeguards. It is important to note that no data storage and backup process is 100% fault-free and that CCC ONE is subject to risks of third party intrusion, loss of connectivity, and data loss or corruption. Q. Why do I have to sign an addendum?

A. Among other things, the addendum covers the licensing of CCC ONE, the data storage and archive policy and specifically indicates that there will be no change in price for the remaining term of the current agreement.

Q. Will the addendum reset the term of my current agreement.

A. No. The term existing agreement will remain in effect.

Q. Will I be charged more for CCC ONE?

A. Your existing pricing will be in effect for the remainder of the term of your agreement.

Q. Why am I being moved to a package?

A. CCC has moved from a la carte pricing to package pricing in order to provide customers with bundled features and easier-to-understand pricing.

Q. Since CCC ONE is hosted, what happens if my internet connection goes down?

A. CCC ONE provides users with the ability to write estimates offline. Once the client is connected to the internet the data created while offline will synchronize with the server.

Q. How will I receive my updates?

A. All data and graphics updates as well as program upgrades will be delivered electronically over the Internet through the CCC ONE Update Manager so you will no longer receive a DVD with monthly updates. The CCC ONE Update Manager will check for updates at a user specified time. Data and graphics updates will be delivered approximately three times per month.

Q. Will CCC ONE still work with my shop management system and other systems I use?

A. Yes. CCC ONE exports EMS files in the same format and fashion as CCC Pathways.

Q. Do I have to upgrade to CCC ONE?

A. Yes. All CCC Pathways users will be upgraded to CCC ONE.

Installation FAQs

Q. Will my anti-virus program interfere with my CCC ONE installation?

A. No. However, if your anti-virus program is setup to scan all files, the time to complete the install of CCC ONE will increase.

Q. I have enabled hibernation as my computer’s power option. Will this interfere with my CCC ONE installation?

A. Yes. If your computer goes into hibernation mode, the CCC ONE installation will have to be restarted. Disable hibernation before you start the CCC ONE installation.

Q. Do I need to run the DVD installation from each workstation on my network?

A. No. Once the first workstation has been installed the DVD can be removed and stored. All remaining workstations will be installed from the shared location on the network.

Q. Will I continue to get updates for CCC Pathways after I install CCC ONE?

A. No. Both data and graphics as well as program updates for CCC ONE will be delivered through the new CCC ONE Update Manager automatically.

Q. What happens to all of my existing CCC Pathways 4.5 workfiles when I upgrade to CCC ONE?

A. When upgrading to CCC ONE you will have the ability to import profiles and a number of estimates from CCC Pathways into CCC ONE based on selected time frames (up to six months). All estimates not imported will be automatically archived and can be retrieved on an individual basis at any time in the future.

Q. What happens to my existing CCC Pathways 4.5 customer database when I upgrade to CCC ONE?

A. The CCC Pathways customer database will be exported to a selected location on the computer that the installation is run from.
